Highlights of 2022

The Purbeck Film Festival 2022 has been one of our most successful ever, with around 5,500 people attending across our widest coverage ever and watching one of our most eclectic selections.

There were many memorable evenings this year, not least the screening of Mrs Harris Goes To Paris which was followed by an informative and entertaining question and answer session by the screenwriter Olivia Hetreed and the producer Andy Paterson. This screening was attended by no less than Dame Maggie Smith, who is a long-time friend of the festival.

Other highlights included new venues like the quirky Boscombe Arts Depot and the stunning St James Church in Kingston and films like the documentary Eric Ravilious: Drawn To War, which proved highly popular with its session with the director Margy Kinmonth.

Thanks to each and every one of you who attended and made our 27th year a return to full strength after the deprivations of lockdown and Covid. Plans are already underway for the 2023 Festival and the outdoor screenings in the Spring and Summer – watch this space!
