Friends of the Festival Passes

Unlock more films, more places, and more adventure with a Friends of the Festival Pass.

Do you usually watch several films during the festival and want a reason to see even more?

We’re always so impressed by our intrepid audiences who travel all over Purbeck and beyond in pursuit of great independent cinema. Inspired by this enthusiasm, we created Friends of the Festival Passes for use at our Autumn Festival.

All our Passes include discounted tickets to our ‘Explorer Venues’. These are our non-traditional cinema venues spread across some of the most picturesque corners of Dorset, from village halls and sports halls to churches & sports clubs. More details on the venues and their films can be found at the bottom of the page.

How it works

These passes are only applicable at our Autumn Festival.

Explorer Venues –  There are 20 Explorer Screenings to chose from. They’re marked by the green binoculars symbol in the brochure or on the website film listings.

Explorer Film Credits – First – buy your pass and complete checkout. When that transaction has gone through, credits will appear in your account and you’re ready to start shopping for Explorer films. Add them to your basket as usual then when you head to checkout, there will be a green box giving you the option to apply your credits to that purchase.

You don’t have to use all credits in a single transaction, you can keep returning to the website and check out multiple times, as long as you log back into your account. Credits are only valid for the Festival year in which they are purchased and there will be no refund for unused credits. Credits must be used to buy tickets on the website in advance of the screenings. We’re sorry, we can’t accept them on the door.

Sorry, these only apply to adult tickets (not student / U25 tickets).

You can check how many credits you have remaining by clicking ‘My Account’ in the main menu bar and looking in the ‘Explore Film Credits’ section.

We’re sorry: we can’t apply credits retrospectively to Explorer Screenings you’ve already booked – you must buy your pass first.

*Please note that adult tickets for St Peter’s Bournemouth carry an extra £1 to cover higher venue expenses than our other locations. We sincerely apologise that this info was missed in our Film Guide.

Free Festival bag (all Passes) – collect from the Mowlem in Swanage during the Festival, or pick up from any of our Explorer Screenings on the night. Just show your show purchase confirmation email.

Purbeck Shorts Tickets (all Passes) – Our Festival Admin team will be in touch with you directly to confirm your attendance.

Gala Screening Tickets (Silver / Gold Passes) – Our Festival Admin team will be in touch with you directly to confirm your attendance.

Early bird Access (Silver / Gold Passes) – once you’ve completed your purchase of a Gold Pass, make sure you’re logged in at the ‘My Account’ section of the website. This will give you access to buy tickets days before they go on general release.
