'Nostagia pays': words ringing truer than ever in the recent tide of musical biopics gracing cinema screens. Yet Song Sung Blue takes this to another level: a cinematic tribute to a tribute band of multi-million record selling singer-songwriter Neil Diamond. Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson star as Lightning and Thunder, a real-life outfit plagued not with the tribulations of fame, but with the barriers of unforeseen circumstance keeping their dreams permanently out of reach.
