The Blue Pool

Dorset’s magical Blue Pool is a flooded former clay pit, transformed into a tranquil lake. The water’s colour mysteriously shifts between turquoise and emerald hues, influenced by light filtering through clay particles. Surrounding the lake are 20 peaceful acres of woodland and heathland, inviting exploration via a network of sandy paths, along with art deco tea rooms dating back to the 1930s.
