Purbeck Short Film Competition: Winners

The Purbeck Film Festival Shorts Competition 2022 was a roaring success with more directors attending than ever before. The unique and highly imaginative Spanish short Babel stormed to victory, winning both the Audience Prize (by a landslide) and the Judges’ Prize who stated it “began as a surreal Buñuel-type piece but then went somewhere completely different”. The Best Animation Audience Prize was won by the elegiac and beautifully animated Key while the David Holman Prize for Best Student Film went to moving refugee animation The Plates On Oma’s Wall. Special Mentions went to Gruf And Me and Who’s Counting.  Well done to all that were selected.
