Purbeck Film Festival Ticket Sales Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 19/05/25

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all ticket purchases for events organised by the Purbeck Film Festival. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the following terms.

2. Ticket Purchase & Payment

All tickets are sold subject to availability and are valid only for the specific event, date, and time indicated at the point of purchase. Full payment is required at the time of booking. When purchasing your tickets on our website please ensure that you are logged into your account before you begin your purchase.

Some tickets may be purchased directly through the Purbeck Film Festival website. However, others are sold by third-party venues hosting the screenings—such as the Mowlem, the Rex, or the Lighthouse. Where ticket purchases are made via an external website, please note that the terms and conditions, including those relating to refunds, exchanges, and complaints, are set by the respective venue or ticketing provider. The Purbeck Film Festival accepts no liability or responsibility for tickets purchased through third-party vendors.

3. Ticket Delivery

Tickets will be delivered by email to the address provided at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure your email address is entered correctly and to check spam/junk folders if tickets are not received promptly.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

We operate a no refund policy.
Your ticket will not be refunded if you are unable to attend a film screening for any reason.

If you can demonstrate that your booking was made in error, please email info@purbeckfilm.com at the time of purchase. We will consider such cases individually, but refunds are not guaranteed.

If the Purbeck Film Festival needs to cancel a screening or stop a film in progress for any reason, all tickets will be refunded or, where possible, an alternative screening of the film will be offered.

5. Programme Changes

Event listings are correct at the time of publication. However, we reserve the right to make changes to the programme, schedule, or venue where necessary. In the event of such changes, we will endeavour to notify all ticket holders.

6. Entry and Admission

Please arrive promptly. Latecomers may be refused entry or asked to wait for a suitable break in the screening. The festival reserves the right to refuse admission or remove individuals if their behaviour is disruptive or unsafe.

7. Resale of Tickets

Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain. Tickets found to have been resold or transferred for profit may be cancelled without refund.

8. Accessibility

If you have accessibility needs please refer to the information given at venues which covers wheelchair access, disabled toilets, hearing loops, etc. All the venues vary in what they can provide and additional information is available where venues have their own website.

We provide an additional free seat for people who require a Carer or Personal Assistant and who have a CEA card. Please contact us on 07443 468850 or email us on info@purbeckfilm.com to book a free carers seat or if you require clarification or further information about venue accessibility and additional needs.

9. Privacy

Personal information collected during ticket purchases is handled in accordance with our Data Handling Policy, which can be found on our website.
